STArts Magnet Program

The Frances S. Tucker interest-based STArts Magnet Program is open to students district-wide and will prepare them in Science, Technology and Dance/Kinetic Movement studies. Through kinesiology, students will study human body movement and apply it to the sciences and dance.  Participating in environmental and space studies, as well as dance and kinetic movement, will nurture creativity, ingenuity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Through a one-of a kind curriculum the STArts Magnet Program will implement research-based innovative instructional strategies, hands-on experiential learning, educational opportunities with community partners, and portfolio development.  Students exiting the STArts Magnet Program will be prepared to succeed in competitive and nationally recognized high school Magnet programs and excel through academic achievement.

• Marine Biology
• Space Science
